Kicking the CAN #1 — Setup

For the wiring, I strictly followed Claude's instructions.

The two CAN modules were connected to each other with a two-wire stranded cable: CAN_H to CAN_H and CAN_L to CAN_L.

The MCP2518FD was powered with 3.3V! from the Raspi, the SPI lines were connected, as well as the interrupt pin.

Following Claude's instructions, the VP230 was also powered with 3.3V and connected via RX and TX to the corresponding pins on the Nucleo board.

Finally, GND of the Raspi was connected to GND of the Nucleo.

So far ... so bad.
